On Tuesday, February 4, the Sephora store located in Columbus Circle hosted CancerCare clients for a hands-on Brave Beauty in the Face of Cancer Class for Confidence in honor of World Cancer Day.
Winter Wonderland Holiday Party 2019
For the fourth year, CancerCare, in partnership with Flatiron Health, hosted a fun-filled Winter Wonderland Holiday Party. The party was open to all of CancerCare’s clients, including families, adults and caregivers affected by cancer. Flatiron Health graciously hosted 80+ children, adults and staff members in their office space in the Soho neighborhood of New York City.
The Phi Beta Kappa New York Association Holiday Celebration and Toy Drive Donates Gifts to Children & Teens Affected by Cancer
CancerCare would like to thank the Phi Beta Kappa (PBK) New York Association once again for their generosity during this holiday season. This national academic honor society recently donated funds and holiday presents for children and teens to CancerCare, as part of its 2019 Holiday Celebration & Toy Drive.

In Memory of Wanda
Hi, my name is Toni, and I’m Wanda Leguillow’s partner. Wanda and I met in Cathedral High School’s graduating class of 1975 and reconnected in 2005. Wanda was a beautiful, loving, caring, soft-spoken, nurturing, intelligent woman with a soft healing touch and a favorite four-letter word. Her voice could tame a lion. She was the calm to my storm.
CancerCare® Hosts 1st Annual Walk, Wag & Run Event in Leonia, New Jersey
On September 15, CancerCare hosted their 1st annual Walk, Wag & Run event at Overpeck County Park in Leonia, NJ. This family-friendly 5K event spread awareness and raised money for CancerCare’s free, professional services available to anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis.
Financial Assistance From Susan G. Komen®
Susan G. Komen® is committed to bridging financial gaps for underserved individuals coping with breast cancer across the country. Offered in partnership with CancerCare, the Susan G. Komen Treatment Assistance Program is open to low-income, underinsured or uninsured women who are actively undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
Sephora Hosts CancerCare Clients for Brave Beauty Class for Confidence to Support Women Living With Cancer
On Monday, July 29, the Sephora store located at Herald Square hosted CancerCare clients for a hands-on Brave Beauty in the Face of Cancer Class for Confidence. These free classes help people living with cancer discover techniques and products that address the visible effects of cancer treatments from specially-trained makeup artists.
