New Financial Assistance Program for Cancer Patients in Mid-Hudson Valley
Today, CancerCare announced a new financial assistance program for adults and children with cancer in New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley region.
Grants are available to help eligible patients afford direct and indirect costs of cancer treatment, such as:
- Transportation to treatment
- Home care and child care
- Housekeeping and pet care
- Treatment expenses and co-pays
- Prescription medication
- Medical equipment and supplies
To qualify, patients must meet all four of the following requirements:
- Have a diagnosis of cancer confirmed by an oncology health care provider
- Be in active treatment for your cancer
- Live in one of the following New York state counties: Putnam, Dutchess, Columbia, Greene, Orange, Ulster, Sullivan or Delaware Counties
- Meet our eligibility guidelines of up to 600% of the Federal Poverty Limit
