CancerCare is an 80-year-old national organization headquartered in New York City, providing free, professional support services to anyone impacted by cancer.
CancerCare’s Young Professionals Committee (YPC) is considered CancerCare’s junior board, and works closely in partnership with key stakeholders within CancerCare and external partners to expand outreach, raise funds and realize strategic initiatives. YPC serves as an opportunity for leadership volunteers 40 and under to engage in the community-at-large and spearhead initiatives and fundraising events that support young adults impacted by cancer.
The committee is comprised of 17 core members and is growing steadily. These emerging leaders represent a variety of diverse industries and companies including LVMH, Blueprint Medicines, Bristol Myers Squibb, NBCUniversal, Lumanity, Flatiron Institute and more.
Together with YPC members and CancerCare leadership, we focus on the direction, priorities and initiatives each year. The committee elects officers for the roles of Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary, which are limited to two-year terms. The committee meets quarterly on an as-needed basis throughout the year.
If you would like to support the YPC’s efforts, you can make a donation here. Thank you for your support!
We look forward to seeing you all at our next YPC fundraising event in June 2025. Please contact Brooke Griffin, Assistant Director of Individual Giving, at bgriffin@cancercare.org if you have any questions or would like to get involved.
