CancerCare presents "An Evening with Richard Adler" at Guild Hall

Performance Will Support CancerCare of the Hamptons, Also Serving Riverhead and the North Fork

East Hampton, N.Y., June 16, 2006--CancerCare of the Hamptons today announced that "An Evening with Richard Adler" will be presented at Guild Hall on September 30, 2006. This event will benefit the organization's free social services for East End residents affected by cancer.

Mr. Adler, a well-known producer, composer and lyricist, will share stories of the various adventures, loves, and songs that have been part of his extraordinary and entertaining life. Audience members will recognize songs such as "Hernando's Hideaway" and "Whatever Lola Wants", from Mr. Adler's remarkable career, which has spanned more than five decades. Well-known for The Pajama Game, Damn Yankees, and Fosse, Mr. Adler is a member of Songwriters' Hall of Fame and has won five Tony Awards, most recently the 2006 Tony Award for Best Revival for The Pajama Game. Joining Mr. Adler as emcee for the evening will be Lee Davis.

"This performance will raise funds to help us extend our reach to all residents of the East End who are facing the challenge of a cancer diagnosis," said Gary Wohl, President of the Board of Managers, CancerCare of the Hamptons. "We are committed to making sure our neighbors in the Hamptons, Riverhead and North Fork have access to CancerCare's invaluable, free support services."

"An Evening with Richard Adler" will be held on September 30, 2006 at Guild Hall, Main Street, East Hampton. Individual tickets begin at $40; tickets including admission to a private reception with Mr. Adler begin at $75.
