CancerCare® CEO Patricia J. Goldsmith Named to Forbes 50 Over 50 Vision List
Patricia J. Goldsmith, Chief Executive Officer of CancerCare, was recently recognized as part of the Forbes 50 Over 50 Vision List. Established in partnership with Mika Brzezinski’s “Know Your Value,” the Forbes “50 Over 50” platform highlights women over the age of 50 who have achieved significant success.
Goldsmith was nominated based on her contributions to the health care field as CEO of CancerCare, the leading national nonprofit offering support services to those affected by cancer. She also has a long history of cancer advocacy, having previously held executive roles at the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute.
“It is humbling to be recognized in such illustrious company as part of the 50 Over 50 Vision List,” Goldsmith shared. “Throughout my career, I have always focused on enacting the most positive change for those most in need. To be recognized alongside figures like Geena Davis, Eileen Fisher and Wally Funk is truly an honor of the highest caliber.”
Through Goldsmith’s stewardship, CancerCare has expanded its free programs and services during the pandemic to better address the issues facing those impacted by a cancer diagnosis. Recent initiatives include a support program for pet owners affected by cancer, the Pet Assistance & Wellness (PAW) Program, as well as a public health campaign, Time to Screen, to encourage individuals to get timely cancer screenings.
