CancerCare® Receives $700,000 Grant from The New York Community Trust
CancerCare®, the leading national nonprofit providing free, professional support services to anyone affected by cancer, recently received a $700,000 grant from The New York Community Trust to provide financial assistance to low-income New York City residents and their families who are facing cancer.
“The donations we receive from The New York Community Trust help so many local families affected by cancer,” said CancerCare CEO, Patricia J. Goldsmith. “We are so grateful for this long-standing relationship and are excited to continue providing support for New York families.”
The New York Community Trust, one of the country’s largest community foundations, supports charities in the New York metropolitan area. Since the 1980s, The New York Community Trust has donated over $20 million in support of CancerCare’s mission.
