CancerCare® Launches Cancer Out Loud: The CancerCare Podcast
CancerCare, the leading national nonprofit organization providing free support services to anyone affected by cancer, is excited to announce the launch of Cancer Out Loud: The CancerCare Podcast. Starting March 9, Cancer Out Loud will feature conversations with people living with cancer, caregivers, survivors, loved ones and the bereaved. Each episode pulls back the curtain to share what it’s really like to be part of a support group, maintain a career during treatment, cope with grief and much more.
“CancerCare is thrilled to be able to launch this podcast,” said CEO Patricia J. Goldsmith. “Each episode shares honest and real conversations with our clients. Their emotional, powerful and important stories are sure to resonate with people impacted by cancer everywhere.”
“This is such an exciting project,” said Sarah Paul, LCSW, CancerCare’s Social Work Senior Program Director. “Being able to work with clients in creating a narrative that they want to share is incredibly rewarding. This is just the first step of many to allow clients to share their stories in a new and innovative way.”
The first two episodes of the podcast will be released on Monday, March 9, wherever podcasts are available (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher and more). New episodes will air every two weeks beginning in April. For more information, visit cancercare.org/canceroutloud.
